The Bones

When your born you have 270 bones in your body, over time some of those bones decide they love each other and run off and fuse together. Many years later when you are considered an adult,  you'll have 206 bones. These bones act as your support system against gravity to keep you from turning into mush, they act as levers to give you a mechanical advantage during motions,  and cause you pain when you break the dang things...oh wait...they produce blood... oh ok they also make blood. Ok So lets get to the bones.

You can dived the skeletal system into 2 halves... the top half and the bottom half... Ahhh just kidding but I wish it was that easy. You actually have the Axial Skeleton and the appendicular skeleton. The Appendicular skeleton consist of 126 bones and the Axial Skeleton has the rest.... fine you want numbers the Axial skeleton has 80 bones. So lets count these bones

  • The Hand Bones (27 on each hand)

The Legs (Left & Right)

  • The Hip Bones
  • The Femur
  • The Patella
  • The Tibia & Fibula
  • The Foot Bone (26 bones on each foot)
